Ice hockey fever in Prague and Ostrava: Switzerland fighting for the world champion title

It's almost time! From 10 to 26 May 2024, the Czech Republic will host the Ice Hockey World Championship. We are delighted to welcome the Swiss national team and wish them a successful World Championship! In the group stage, the Swiss national team will face the host country, the Czech Republic, but also ice hockey giants such as Canada, Finland and Denmark.

The Swiss Embassy invites you to the public viewing in Prague

On the evening of 13 May 2024, a very special event awaits fans in Prague: the Swiss Embassy, in cooperation with Presence Switzerland and with the support of Switzerland Tourism, Laufen, Stadler Rail, BNP Paribas, Sotio and Schindler, is organising a public viewing of the Switzerland-Czech Republic game. On the roof of the Harfa shopping centre, right next to the O2 Arena, you can watch the match with us on a big screen.

The atmosphere starts with live Czech music

Before the whistle blows for the match, spectators will be greeted by an atmospheric musical prelude: Kašpárek v rohlíku, a well-known Czech band, will get us in the mood with their hits and create a joyful atmosphere before the Swiss team takes to the ice for this important match. During the course of the concert, former Czech ice hockey stars who played in Switzerland will share their experiences.
