The “cantautore” Marco Zappa is a well-known song writer in Switzerland. He has participated in numerous festivals, among others the Montreux Jazz Festival. Zappa’s music is melodic, accessible, manifold. Through his poetic language he tells us stories of people in the Southern part of Switzerland, the Ticino.
Illir Kryekurti, an established drummer with Albanian roots, studied at the Conservatory of Tirana and Jazz in Lausanne. He lives in Switzerland and contributes with “ethnic” sounds and rhythms to the musical projects of Marco Zappa.
Goran Sojadinovic is one of the most extraordinary musicians of Serbia. With his button accordion and bass he adds special harmonies, melodies and Balkan rhythms to the music of Zappa.
The concert is organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in collaboration with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura and the Goethe-Institut Oslo.
