The young Swiss choir «Männerstimmen Basel» is touring through Iceland in May 2016. Invited as a special guest choir to the «Nordic-Baltic Male Choir Festival» in Reykjavík (12-14 May 2016), the Swiss choir will have the opportunity to celebrate the 100-year jubilee of the hosting male choir «Fóstbræður». Several appearances are scheduled at the festival. They will also meet with choirs from Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and the Faroe Islands.
The Swiss choir will also give concerts on its own in Iceland. For their upcoming tour of Iceland, the «Männerstimmen Basel» have prepared a selected repertoire on the subject of «pílagrímr», the word for pilgrim in Old Norse.
