The public meets on the closed off Kostelna Street in order to see the variegated cultures of six Francophonie countries, and to give the talented people of Ukraine the opportunity to present themselves and their art.

A Street theater, cooking classes, culinary lectures and tastings, a children's creative area, art expositions, live music and DJ-sets, exhibition stands with a variety of hand-made products, delicacies from all around the world, a pop-up cafe, coffee masters, writers and publishing houses, antique shops, an open-air cinema, shows by famous Ukrainian designers, the game of pétanque, freestyle football, an educational area of Francophonie countries, and even a symphony orchestra – all these are part of the programme.

The fair focuses on charity (the goal is to support the charity fund “Tabletochki”) and on education (in collaboration with the French Institute in Ukraine/Institut français d'Ukraine).

The event is held with the support of the Embassies of Canada, Lebanon, Morocco, France and Switzerland, Congolese Students Association as well as that of the French Institute in Ukraine and the Kyiv City State Administration.

Swiss Highlights of the Francophonie Day:

Stage:

  • Concert of Swiss conductor Silvio Wyler and symphonic orchestra “Golden Gate of Kyiv”

  • Modern Dances performed by teenagers, Choreographic Studio “Charodiyi” (“Je t’aime” and “Accroche-toi à tes rêves“)       

Lounge Zone:

  • Fascinating game for children aged from six to 15 years “Legendary Shooter Willhelm Tell“

Food Court:

  • Restaurant “Le Komora” (Raclette)

  • Organic food products (Swiss Development Cooperation project)

Master Classes:

  • Importance of organic food and healthy nutrition

  • How to melt Raclette cheese
