In the framework of the Kyiv International Lectures Series, there is a unique opportunity to meet Philipp Hildebrand, former Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB). Based on his longstanding experience, Mr. Hildebrand will present his views on the perspectives of the world economy, with a specific focus on Europe.

At present, Philipp Hildebrand is Vice Chairman of the Black Rock investment firm and is a member of its Global Executive Committee. Before he joined Black Rock in 2012, Mr. Hildebarnd served as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB). In that capacity, he was also a Director of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the Swiss Governor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and a member of the Financial Stability Board (FSB), of which the Leaders of the G20 appointed him Vice Chairman, in November 2011.

Mr. Hildebrand is a member of the Group of Thirty and an Honorary Fellow of Lincoln College, Oxford, and he sits on the International Advisory Board of Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government.

Mr. Hildebrand earned a BA from the University of Toronto, an MA from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, and a DPhil from the University of Oxford.

This edition of the Kyiv International Lecture is organized by the Embassy Switzerland, in cooperation with the Sorbes Group. Business is the media partner, the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv the academic partner of the Kyiv International Lectures Series.
