Entrance fee: CHF 10 (adults). Free for accompanying children.

The SDC will present its activities in the healthcare sector through an engaging and informative stand at the next "Comptoir broyard" in Payerne. From its response to the Ebola epidemic to its goal of giving everyone on the planet access to quality care, Swiss development cooperation has taken on some big challenges.

Did you know that the SDC has spent over CHF 32 million to date on helping victims of the Ebola epidemic, supporting public healthcare institutions in Liberia and feeding families impoverished by the crisis? Why the SDC is committed to strengthening healthcare systems in developing countries? What is the rationale of the new Sustainable Development Goals negotiated by the international community?

Visitors will find answers to all these questions at a stand on the SDC's activities in the healthcare sector at the next "Comptoir broyard" in Payerne. Alongside other activities, a giant map of the world will pinpoint the locations of more than 15 SDC-supported projects. Two touch screens will give visitors the chance to interact with two people who benefit from the SDC's work. Experts will be on hand to answer questions from the public.

Two public discussions are to be held alongside the stand on Saturday 7 and Saturday 14 November at 3pm.The first asked 'Aid for Africa … why and how?', while the theme of the second is 'Post-Ebola: how to prevent a pandemic, and how to respond'.
