In the engaging discussion, the Chancellor and Swiss business leaders exchanged views on the opportunities of the new financial services agreement and the ongoing Enhanced UK-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement negotiations.
In December, following more than two years of negotiations, Chancellor Hunt and Swiss Federal Councillor Karin Keller-Sutter signed the first-of-its-kind agreement on mutual recognition in financial services. The Berne Financial Services Agreement will boost competitiveness and deepen the already close cooperation between our two major international financial centres.
