Mandates and contributions

Partners and contracts

Alongside the guidelines for the awarding of mandates and contributions, in this section of the website the FDFA provides information on planned mandates, awarded mandates and programmes of NGOs supported through contributions.

Mandates

By awarding mandates, the FDFA entrusts individual experts and organisations with the implementation of FDFA projects or certain activities on behalf of the FDFA. Public invitations to tender and the occasional institutional consultancy mandates are issued in accordance with the legal requirements and can be found on the respective lists of planned and awarded mandates. You can also read about the requirements that apply to mandates and find useful information and downloads for contractors.

Contributions

By providing targeted contributions in compliance with strict guidelines, the FDFA supports organisations in realising their projects or activities, for example programmes of non-governmental organisations implemented under their own responsibility. You can find the guidelines that apply to the award of contributions and a list of programme contributions awarded to Swiss NGOs here.

Information and downloads for contractors and recipients of contributions

In this section, contractors and recipients of contributions can find useful information and the documents they require in connection with a mandate.

Change

The information platform about FDFA mandates, in particular the "Planned mandates" section, has undergone a number of changes. From now on, in this section you will find service mandates below CHF 230,000 for which you may submit an offer within a specified time limit. Qualified professionals who believe they fulfil the qualifying criteria described in the attached specifications may submit a firm offer. This offer will be assessed and the decision to accept it or not will then be communicated. In order to make the bidding process genuinely competitive, the amount budgeted will no longer appear under "Planned mandates"; the value of the contract will however continue to feature in the "Awarded mandates" section.
