This contribution aims to provide catalytic financial resources to strengthen the Ifakara Innovation Hub (IIH), a nascent rural collaborative space to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and community-driven solutions.

L’action vise à renforcer la protection des migrant·es et des Tunisien·nes vulnérables et à contribuer à leur autonomisation, dans un contexte où l’accès aux services de protection reste fortement contraint, notamment depuis 2023. L’assistance aux migrant·es et aux populations vulnérables représente un défi important pour les ONG et les OSC locale, en raison de la restriction de l’espace d’action et des contraintes opérationnelles persistantes. Le projet contribue à renforcer les capacités des acteurs nationaux, qu’ils soient institutionnels ou non-institutionnels, en matière de gestion des migrations et favorise leur mise en réseau et coordination. Il prévoit également de formaliser les mécanismes de référencement et d’harmoniser les stratégies d’intervention afin d’optimiser l’efficacité de l’aide apportée aux publics cibles. L’action est mise en oeuvre par un consortium piloté par Avocats Sans Frontières et bénéficie d’un co-financement de l’Union Européenne (UE).

Switzerland supports especially young people and women to acquire labor market–relevant skills and improve their employment prospects in Uzbekistan by promoting short-term training, strengthens career guidance, and enhances cooperation between employers, training providers and public institutions. Initial engagement focuses on sectors with strong employer demand and Swiss expertise and creates opportunities for partnerships with Swiss companies present in Uzbekistan.

La recrudescence des violences armées qui sévissent à l'Est de la RDC a occassionné un afflux de réfugiés vers le Burundi. Ces réfugiés sont en besoin d'assistance en protection, vivres et non vivres, abri, eau, hygiène et soins de santé. Ils arrivent dans des conditions précaires et extrêmement vulnérables. Le Burundi, en situation socio-économique et sécuritaire difficile, n'a pas les moyens de les accueillir sans aide internationale. Cette contribution humanitaire vise à améliorer de façon urgente les conditions de vie des réfugiés congolais.

In Phase 2 NGO Resource Center will continue to provide capacity-building support to NGOs, particularly those focused on child protection and expand Mental Health and Psychosocial Support interventions for children and families. Additionally, the project will address child sexual abuse and violence by equipping humanitarian workers and relevant stakeholders with the necessary tools to respond effectively to child disclosures of abuse.

Sustainably managing land is crucial to strengthen climate and livelihood resilience. WOCAT, global knowledge platform initiated by Switzerland, documents, shares and supports the implementation of such practices. The aim is to generate multiple benefits that can overcome the competition between climate change, food production, and biodiversity loss. To catalyse and facilitate support, a Multi-Donor Basket Fund has been set up, managed by the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.
