This phase 02 of the project of Fondation suisse de déminage (FSD) deploys the full range of mine action activities, to identify the threat of contamination, clear unexploded ordnance and mines, and educate the population to the risks. It resorts to Swiss innovation, mechanical demining machines and dogs. It builds on phase 01, gaining scale in both Kharkiv and Kherson regions and adding a strong component of building local capacity through mentorship of a Ukrainian NGO.
GAIN Combating Malnutrition in Rwanda through Sustainable Food Systems (GAIN CoMa SFS)

According to the newly approved National Strategy of Transformation - NST2 (2024–2029), reducing stunting and malnutrition comes among the top five priorities of the government of Rwanda (GoR) with an ambitious target of reducing child stunting from 33% to 15% by 2029. Thus, Switzerland’ support to GAIN and the collaboration with different actors across the health and food sectors: GoR, private sector and farmers assures stimulating production, access, affordability and consumption of desirable nutritious and safe foods.
Save the Children, Building Inclusive Resilience and Durable Solutions for forcibly displaced populations and vulnerable groups in Yobe State

Finding durable solutions for up to five hundred thousand current and formerly displaced persons (IDPs) in Yobe State, Northeast Nigeria, is a critical step towards lasting peace and development in the region. This project, which is part of a multi-pronged SDC support to local authorities, will contribute to facilitate local integration and return of IDPs by enhancing agricultural productivity, providing livelihood and employment opportunities, strengthening community disaster risk reduction, and access to justice.

Au Burkina Faso, 65,5% des adultes sont analphabètes et 50% des enfants de 6 à 16 ans (3 millions) sont exclus de l’école. La Suisse soutient la diversification des alternatives éducatives au profit des exclus de l’éducation, afin de renforcer les capacités à lire et écrire et les connaissances techniques et professionnelles de près de 250’000 apprenants. Ce soutien contribue à améliorer l’insertion socio-conomique et les conditions de vie, prévenant ainsi la migration irrégulière et l’enrôlement par les groupes armés.
Protecting children, women and youth affected by conflict through local actors in Borno State

The protracted conflict in North East Nigeria continues to expose vulnerable populations to multiple types of violence and abuse. This initiative implemented by local NGOs focuses on building community-based systems to prevent and respond to child protection and gender-based violence (GBV) risks. In line with SDC’s commitment to localization, this initiative will foster sustainable practices and local ownership to create a lasting impact for children, GBV survivors and their communities.

La Suisse apporte une contribution ciblée à l’Organisation internationale pour les Migrations (OIM) pour appuyer le retour et l’intégration locale des déplacés internes à Bossangoa au nord-ouest de la République centrafricaine (RCA). Cette contribution visera à construire des logements familiaux, à faciliter l’accès à des infrastructures sociales de base fonctionnelles et à appuyer le relèvement socio-économique des groupes vulnérables de la population afin de renforcer la cohésion et la coexistence dans cette région encore fragile.

Today, most migrants and refugees find protection and opportunities in cities, and cities are at the forefront of fostering inclusive communities. The Global Cities Fund for Migrants and Refugees al-lows for cities’ innovative ideas to foster migrants’ contribution to the sustainable development of their host cities. The project follows the IC strategy’s thematic priority on migration, strengthening cooperation with local actors, and builds on SDCs leading engagement in urban migration.

Politicians, the three spheres of government, civil society and the citizenry at large need access to relevant information on federalism and opportunities to engage in meaningful dialogue to deepen and sustain the reforms. This project seeks to enhance the capacity of media and academia to generate evidence-based information and foster discourse on key aspects of Nepal’s federalism, and it supports sub-national governments to engage in exchange and enhanced cooperation.
Caucasus Geoparks’ Network in the South Caucasus (“Geoparks”)

Based on the South Caucasus’s unique geological heritage, the project strengthens rural livelihoods and climate resilience in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia by developing selected geopark sites, and promoting ecotourism and local jobs. Implemented by the Georgian NGO CENN with regional partners, it guides sites toward UNESCO Geopark recognition. By fostering cross-border cooperation, the initiative promotes dialogue and stability in a fragile region, an objective that is of strategic interest to Switzerland.
Support to Improved Media Environment in Serbia

This project strengthens independent and pluralistic media in Serbia. It supports media associations in improving laws and policies in line with European standards for media freedom and professional journalism. The project also enables public-interest media to provide accurate and factbased reporting at national and local level, strengthens cooperation among media actors, and helps citizens access reliable information for informed democratic participation.

Le CBPF sélectionne et finance des projets sur la base de la stratégie d’allocation pour adresser les besoins humanitaires identifiés en s’assurant que les thèmes transversaux, comme le genre, la localisation, la centralité de la protection, seront au centre du processus d’allocation des fonds aux projets.

Les populations participent peu aux débats et sont exposées à cause du manque de contenus pertinents dans les médias et la désinformation. Avec ALICE, la Suisse consolide son partenariat avec les médias en offrant une information crédible, des espaces de dialogues inclusifs et une éducation des citoyens aux médias sociaux pour combattre la désinformation.
