As the official representation of Switzerland, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.

Consular Services

The Swiss Embassy in Bolivia does not provide consular services. If you have a consular query, please contact directly the Andean Regional Consular Center in Lima - Peru: lima@eda.admin.ch.

  • Schengen Visa

The Swiss Embassy in Peru, respectively the Andean Regional Consular Center in Lima is responsible for Swiss consular affairs in Bolivia.

Switzerland has a Schengen representation agreement with Spain in Bolivia. To obtain a Schengen visa for Switzerland, you can apply at the Spanish Embassy in La Paz or at the Consulate General of Spain in Santa Cruz.

The Swiss Embassy in Bolivia is not able to inform you about the requirements / documents to be submitted to the Spanish authorities. Please contact them directly.

It is also possible to apply for a Schengen visa at the Swiss Embassy in Lima, respectively the Andean Regional Consular Center in Lima - Peru. You can find all the information on this link or by contacting lima@eda.admin.ch.
