  •    Schengen Visa

On June 23, 2021, the Federal Council decided to lift the entry restrictions for persons from third countries who are vaccinated.

For vaccinated third-country nationals, the ordinary provisions for entry into Switzerland will apply again as of June 26, 2021. The agreement between the Swiss and Spanish authorities on representation in the issuance of Schengen visas for Switzerland for Bolivian nationals has been suspended until further notice. Without exception, all applications for Schengen visas for Switzerland must be submitted in person to the Andean Regional Consular Centre in Lima - Peru (lima@eda.admin.ch).

Entry restrictions continue to apply to foreign nationals who are not vaccinated and are without rights of free movement, entering from risk countries or regions and who do not belong to any of the exceptional categories of the Covid 19 Regulation 3.

To enquire which rules apply to your particular case, we advise you to consult directly the following page Travelcheck. Additional information, please consult the website of the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM).

If the applicant's fingerprints have not yet been registered or if this is his or her first visa application, he or she must present the documents in person at the Swiss Embassy in Lima. If the applicant's fingerprints are registered and validated in the system, he/she can hand in the documents at one of the Swiss representations in Bolivia to be sent to Lima after verification. In both cases, the documents must first be sent to lima@eda.admin.ch for verification.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are special rules for people entering Switzerland. Please refer to the information of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).

If you have read all the above information and still have questions, please feel free to contact us by e-mail.
