Partnerships and mandates

SDC Presence in Jordan

The Swiss Development Cooperation Office was opened in Amman in 2001 to extend and strengthen the Swiss – Jordanian bilateral relations. Until 2008 Jordan ranked as a priority country for economic cooperation by State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and since then the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) expanded its activities in Jordan.

In July 2013, Switzerland signed with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan an agreement for Humanitarian Assistance, Technical and Financial Cooperation. This agreement reinforces the ties of friendship between the two countries and contributes to a deepening of the bilateral relations.
