Temporary passport

Information from the Regional Consular Centre London (RCC)

A temporary (provisional) passport, which has a maximum validity of one year, may be issued in cases of emergency only. It must be returned to the issuing authority for cancellation after the travel is completed. The passport fee is currently CHF 100.00 for adults and children (equivalent in GBP).

In an emergency the Swiss representation responsible for your place of stay can prepare a provisional passport (emergency passport) on the spot with a minimum of delay. Information on provisional passports will be found on the following website:
