A highlight of this year’s Italian Language Week is the screening of the comedy Vecchi Pazzi by Swiss film director Sabine Boss. Vecchi Pazzi tells the story of an aged diva sent to an elderly home where a former constructionist awaits his own death. The diva has a caring daughter and the constructionist has a nephew determined to claim his inheritance. Through laughter (and a few tears) the film does not disappoint with its heartwarming tale set in the beautiful region of Ticino.

Sharing a strong need for artistic expression, the duo finds their mutual musical passion reflected especially in Beethoven’s music. Indeed, the duo’s name is inspired by Beethoven’s eponymous heroine in the opera Fidelio. During their chamber concerts in China, the musicians will perform in five cities.
