
The German-Swiss poet Nora Gomringer (born 1980) has been performing as a reciter since 1996. She studied English Studies, German Studies and Art History at the University of Bamberg. In 2001, Gomringer founded the Bamberg Poetry Slam. In 2005, she teamed up with Fiva and Mia Pittroff and won in the German International Poetry Slam in Leipzip. Since 2010, she has directed the International Artist Residency Künstlerhaus Villa Concordia in Bamberg. Until now, Gomringer has published seven volumes of poems, two essay collections and various works. She has been awarded many times for her literary works – most recently the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize in 2015.
