Focus Areas of Economic Cooperation

Based on Indonesia’s development priorities and SECO’s strategic orientation and core competencies, SECO’s economic cooperation program will contribute towards good economic management in the public sector, enhanced private sector and trade competitiveness, and sustainable and inclusive growth. SECO economic development cooperation in Indonesia year 2013-2016 are focused on three objectives:

1. Good economic management in the public sector;
2. Private sector competitiveness, business framework conditions and trade;
3. Environmental protection, climate change mitigation, and sustainable urbanization

Economic and financial policy

Reforming of public finance and strengthening of the financial sector as measures for economic growth and fighting poverty

Climate-friendly growth

Helping to combat the causes of climate change and fostering climate-friendly growth with modern technologies and approaches as well as new market and financing mechanisms

Private sector and entrepreneurship

Improving the functioning of local financial markets and to nourishing a competitive body of entrepreneurs to increase the partner countries' attractiveness as a business location and to trigger national and foreign investments
