The Swiss Embassy offers financial support to selected small-scale initiatives by local groups, foundations, and organizations.
The Embassy may grant funds for projects in the following fields: human rights, rule of law, impartial justice, environment protection, sustainable development, improvement of living conditions of disadvantaged groups, education, among others.
Projects that aim to benefit women and disadvantaged groups are especially welcome to apply.
Application
Project proposals must be written in English and submitted to the Swiss Embassy by 31 December.
When applying, please make sure you include the following information in your project proposal:
- Name of the project
Description of implementing group/foundation/organization, location (district, city, village), contact details (phone- and fax number, email address, bank and branch)
Name, title, phone number and email address of the person responsible for the implementation of the project
What are the financial sources of the group/foundation/organization? When was the group/foundation/organization established and with what purpose? If any, which projects have been implemented so far?
Short summary of the socio-economic situation of the community that is to benefit from the project
Description of the project
- Project outline/Work plan
- What is the objective of the project?
- Who are the beneficiaries?
- How will the project benefit the community?
- What specific activities are planned?
- How are the objectives going to be met?
- How will the project be evaluated?
Budget outline
- Overall project budget
- What is the contribution of the applying group/foundation/organization itself? Please be aware that the Embassy can only contribute to projects where its support is subsidiary to the group’s/organization’s/community’s own contribution

To what extent are the beneficiaries participating in the project?
What contribution is asked of the Swiss Embassy?
- total amount in IDR
Timeframe: Show how the project forms a one-time intervention that is fully administered and conducted by the local group/foundation/organization and is completed by November of the same year.
Sustainability: What are the risks and opportunities of the project? How will the Swiss Embassy’s grant contribute to a long lasting, beneficial impact on the beneficiaries/ community?
Other remarks and comments
Please be aware that projects of profit-oriented organizations, projects with religious purposes (however the applying organization or group may have a religious background), projects that only and exclusively consist of supply of materials, projects that only benefit selected individuals, scholarships or study visits to Switzerland and advisory missions of foreign experts, as well as simple collections, donations, and sponsorships of individuals cannot be supported. Furthermore please note that the same organization cannot be supported repeatedly.
