The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) together with the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) held a security briefing on the Taal eruption for Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations in Manila. The briefing contained presentations and an open forum about the effects of the eruption and possible risks of further eruptions. The Swiss Embassy closely monitors the situation and advises to remain alert.
