Swiss citizens who get into difficulties abroad, also can ask for advice and help from the Swiss representative.

The magazine for the Swiss Abroad appears six times a year and provides information about what is happening at home and the activities of Swiss associations abroad. It also answers administrative questions.

The relevant Swiss representation abroad can answer any questions concerning the FDFA’s online desk.

The ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya, Ms Fouzia Abdirahman Abass; of Jamaica, Mr Richard Brown (with residence in Geneva); and of the Republic of Ecuador, Ms Verónica Bustamante Ponce, were received by President of the Confederation Viola Amherd at the Federal Palace on 26 March 2024 for the presentation of their credentials.
