Ambassador Nicole Providoli Presents Credentials to President Samia Suluhu Hassan

On 26 November 2024, Ambassador Nicole Providoli presented her credentials to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, officially beginning her diplomatic mission in Tanzania. The ceremony, held at the State House in Dodoma, marks a significant moment in the continuation of the good relationship between Switzerland and Tanzania.

During the meeting, Ambassador Providoli expressed her commitment to enhancing cooperation across a wide range of areas, including development cooperation, education, research and innovation as well as economy and trade. "I feel privileged to represent Switzerland in the United Republic of Tanzania and look forward to strengthen our already very good relations further," she said.

Switzerland and Tanzania have a long history of mutually fruitful collaboration, characterized by friendly and stable diplomatic relations. Full diplomatic relations were established in 1964, following the founding of the United Republic of Tanzania was founded. This year marks the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Providoli was accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission and Head of International Cooperation, Mr. Holger Tausch, and the Consul Ms Khaterah Massum.
