SDC funding to UNICEF emergency programmes in 8 underfunded emergency situations allows UNICEF to better plan its assistance programmes and proactively respond to situations as needed. Moreover contributions will not be thematically earmarked except in Chad (WASH) and in Syria (SHARP).
