Inspired by Swiss values such as democracy, dialogue and respect for minorities, Fondation Hirondelle fills a gap in crisis regions where quality information is precious. It ensures that communities are objectively informed and can make their voices heard.

cinfo ist das Schweizer Kompetenzzentrum für Information, Beratung und Bildung für Berufe der internationalen Zusammenarbeit (IZA). Cinfo erbringt qualitativ hochstehende Dienstleistungen, um in der IZA tätigen Bundesämtern sowie IZA-Organisationen Fachkräfte zuzuführen, welche den aktuellen Herausforderungen in der Branche gerecht werden können. Koordiniert durch die DEZA wird in Zusammenarbeit mit SECO und AFM zudem die Präsenz qualifizierter Schweizerinnen und Schweizer in multilateralen Organisationen forciert.

En Suisse latine, chaque canton dispose d’une fédération cantonale de coopération internationale (CI). Ces fédérations ont pour objectif commun de renforcer qualité des activités mises en oeuvre par ses membres. Elles jouent le rôle d’interfaces entre leurs organisations membres et les pouvoirs publics – communes, cantons et Confédération, mais également avec le secteur privé, les universités, ce qui donne un effet de levier multiplicateur dans la mise en oeuvre des activités de leurs membres pour la mise en oeuvre de la stratégie de la CI 2025-28.

Founded in 2008, INTERACTION is a national umbrella organisation. Its vision is to facilitate cooperation for a more just, sustainable and peaceful world for all people. Its programme presents a holistic approach to address poverty and injustice through an educational-learning lens and a focus on the human right to education. INTERACTION fosters learning among its members and manages the SDC contribution of 6 organisations out of 34 members, which are eligible to receive a Core Contribution from SDC.

The World Wide Fund for Nature Switzerland (WWF CH) is a Swiss NGO funded by foundations, private donors and members. As a fully autonomous organisation it is part of WWF’s global network, which is present in roughly 100 countries. Through and jointly with local WWF offices, WWF CH works towards sustaining natural resources such as freshwater, forests and coastlines whilst improving the livelihoods of disadvantaged and marginalised communities depending on functioning ecosystem services.

Save the Children Switzerland (SC Switzerland) is a Swiss non-governmental organisation aimed at ensuring meaningful and lasting changes in the lives of girls and boys, including those affected by emergencies. SC Switzerland is a member of the global SC movement. In 2023, SC Switzerland engaged in 29 countries, including in fragile, conflict and urban settings. Its focus on maternal and child health, education, and protection of children against violence and exploitation, is aligned with the Swiss IC strategy 25-28.

The Pestalozzi Children's Foundation (PCF) is a globaly active Swiss non-profit organisation. PCF promotes access to inclusive and equitable quality education with a focus on the most vulnerable children. Through capacity strengthening, innovative approaches and close cooperation with local NGOs, PCF supports civil society as a way to promote sustainable development and the right to education .


Support the IDB Group’s agenda on gender and diversity in Latin America and the Caribbean

Gender and diversity inequalities (Indigenous Peoples, Afro-descendants, Persons with Disabilities, and LBGTQ+ communities) remain significant challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean, impacting economic development, social cohesion, and access to services. Switzerland advances the Inter-American Development Bank Group’s agenda on gender and diversity in its programs by financing an experienced position in the Office of the Special Advisor on Gender and Diversity.


Protection and lifesaving assistance to individuals exposed to mayor vulnerabilities in Venezuelan border areas with Colombia (Apure, Zulia y Táchira) due to the post-electoral context.

IOM Venezuela aims to enhance the protection and well-being of vulnerable people in mobility  in Apure, Zulia, and Táchira, due to the high impact of the post-election crisis on the social, economic and security situation. It focuses on providing protection-centered support in Temporary Collective Centers and at Mobile Assistance Points through a high-quality assistance that responds to the unmet needs of people, enhancing their overall well-being and resilience in the face of displacement and adversity.  



Foundations of Social Protection for Targeted and Effective Poverty Reduction (FOSTER)

Zimbabwe’s social protection system is characterised by low coverage, poor targeting, weak coordination and high fragmentation, making it inadequate to assist the growing number of poor and vulnerable people. These contributions to the World Bank and UNICEF, two expert organisations on social protection, aim to strengthen the foundational architecture to improve, expand and manage access to social assistance, livelihood support, and resilience services for vulnerable groups.


Contribution to the project Afaaq (Horizons) – nurturing the wellbeing for children in the oPt

Switzerland’s single phase contribution to Save the Children’s project (Afaaq) enhances learning and well-being of crisis affected children in conflict impacted areas in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Young boys and girls from poorer households are able to access early childhood care services, which support their socio-emotional development and school-readiness. In addition, pre-school and school aged children exposed to violence receive child protection and psychosocial support.
