The main goal is to enhance urban infrastructure and related services and reliable energy supply to improve the living conditions of the Albanian population. Swiss efforts aim at establishing affordable, safe and cost-efficient water supplies, proper discharge of waste water and sewerage, and better waste management. In addition, Swiss support continues in improving of energy security, through diversification - including the development of the gas market - and energy efficiency.
