Gainful activity is subject to authorization by the competent office for migration, even if only temporarily and less than 90 days. The employer must take the necessary steps in Switzerland and apply for the work permit of the visa applicant at the competent office for migration.
Once the authorization has been obtained, the applicant is requested to submit the following documents in person at the Regional Consular Center with prior appointment: pri.visa@eda.admin.ch
The following documents are in general required when applying for an entry visa for work in Switzerland:
authorization issued by the cantonal authority (original or copy)
valid passport (original)
a recent photograph
visa application form
visa fees
