Switzerland is deeply shaken by the tragic fire that broke out on New Year's night in Crans-Montana. In the wake of this tragedy, our thoughts are with the victims and with their families and friends.

Switzerland thanks all countries for their messages of condolence and solidarity. Switzerland is also grateful for the support and assistance provided by various governments in receiving the injured in hospitals and establishing contact with the families of victims abroad.

Swiss-Bulgarian Research Programme Launched

Sofia, 1 August 2023

Ambassador Raymund Furrer, Bulgarian Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev and Minister of Education and Science Prof. Galin Tsokov signed today the Agreement on the Swiss-Bulgarian Research Programme. This first operational agreement on the implementation of the second Swiss Contribution to selected EU member states reflects the importance of research cooperation for Switzerland and its European partners.
