Dear visitors,

Dear compatriots,

I am very pleased and honored to have been appointed as Swiss Ambassador to Serbia and to Montenegro and accredited early September 2024. I arrived in a context where Swiss-Serbian relations are very strong and continue to grow.

Switzerland is an important provider of foreign direct investment in Serbia, reaching the 2nd position in 2021. More than 500 Swiss companies operate in this dynamic country, including big corporates. The Serbian-Swiss diaspora is also very active on both sides. The 5 daily direct flights from Belgrade to Zurich or Geneva are a good testimony of how tight the relationships are between the two countries.

Switzerland has been supporting Serbia for 30 years, with humanitarian aid after the war, which has evolved over the years into a comprehensive development cooperation programme fostering innovation partnerships, dual vocational training system, support to SMEs, local governance and democracy as well as resilience to climate change. Additionally, this year, we celebrated the 15th anniversary of the successful migration partnership; Federal Councilor Beat Jans paid a 3-days visit in the country on that occasion. Earlier in the year, Federal Councilor Ignazio Cassis had also been in Belgrade and Podgorica.

I very much look forward to further fostering the diplomatic ties between our countries. The embassy team remain at your disposal to provide you with services listed on this website. Do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

Anne Lugon-Moulin

Ambassador of Switzerland
