Swiss Embassy supported the most attractive employer in BiH award in 2016

The “Most Attractive Employer” Project is organized ten years in a row, and starts with a three-month research which forms the basis for the most desirable employers’ ranking. The companies selected as the most attractive employers in Bosnia and Herzegovina were awarded tonight at the 10th annual ceremony held in the BiH Armed Forces Hall.

According to the survey about the most attractive companies for work in BiH in 2016, conducted by Kolektiv Ltd. - Posao.ba, dm drogerie markt took the first place. Al Jazeera Balkans takes second place at the list of the ten most desirable employers, followed by Authority Partners, Violeta, UniCredit bank, Nelt, Raiffeisen bank, Nsoft, HIFA Group, and Alma-Ras.

Employers on places 11 to 50 were sorted into different categories, based on the companies' services.

In the individual categories, the first ranked companies, with the largest number of votes, were also awarded with special recognitions. The awards were represented by Swiss Ambassador in BiH Heinrich Maurer and UK Ambassador in BiH Edward Ferguson.

According to the research, the most attractive employers in different categories are Sberbank BH, Deichmann footwear, AS Group Jelah, Orbico, domestic retail chain Bingo, Holdina, Bosnalijek, Atlantbh, BH Telecom and N1 TV.

Examinees from all over BiH participated in the research, and the average age of the participants was 26-30. Most of the participants have a faculty degree and are currently employed.

What the participants appreciate the most with regards to the employers are “good treatment of the employees and a positive work atmosphere”. The second most important thing are “job security” and “the opportunities for training and advancement”, while “the salary or material reasons” are on third place.

Some 740 companies were nominated out of 19.100 individual votes collected during the three-month research of the opinions of BiH citizens.

A significant number of guests, ambassadors, representatives of leading companies, international organizations, as well as politicians and businessmen from BiH attended the award ceremony.
