Embassy closed

The Swiss representation in Tehran is temporarily closed and, due to the volatile situation, it is currently not possible to say when consular services will resume.

Swiss citizens in distress can contact the nearest Swiss representation or the FDFA Helpline / +41 800 24-7-365 / +41 58 465 33 33

At this stage, it is no longer possible to apply for a visa for Switzerland and/or the Schengen area in Tehran. Information relating to a possible alternative will be published in due time. In any case, the existing criteria for entry into the Schengen area and Switzerland will remain valid.
