Four webinars organized as a part of the "SDGs for All" Platform

A series of webinars were organized within the "SDGs for All" program with the aim of engaging various actors in discussions of the alignment of Serbia's development priorities with the goals contained in the 2030 Agenda, especially in the context of the current COVID-19 crisis.

On October 8, one of the project partners - the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence, organized a panel discussion "Unlimited needs of people versus the limited resources of our planet" within the Mikser Festival held at the “Zornić House” near Belgrade. The panellists spoke about the exploitation of the natural environment and resources from different angles including education and science, sustainable business practices of the corporate sector and the role of the state in the transition to sustainable development.

A week earlier, the Belgrade Open School facilitated the webinar "Uncovering the myths about climate change" with the aim of encouraging dialogue and dispelling the most common myths about climate change. The topic discussed was thematically linked with SDG 13 on Climate Action. A recording of this webinar can be found here.

The webinar "Gender Equality and Sustainable Development - Where is the Link?" was  organized by the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, with a thematic focus on SDG 5: Gender Equality for All. The aim of the webinar was to bring together some of the most important social actors and institutions and encourage dialogue on the topic of achieving gender equality in general and especially in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic. As part of the technical support to the project in the field of strengthening the capacity of companies and harmonizing their business practices with the goals of sustainable development, Smart Kolektiv, in collaboration with the Responsible Business Forum, organized the webinar "Towards Sustainable Business - Why and how to do business in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals?"

The program "SDGs for All" is supported by the Governments of Switzerland and Germany, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH through the project “Public Finance Reform – 2030 Agenda”. The Platform involves the establishment of a society-wide dialogue among the most important non-state actors in Serbia on the alignment of Serbia's development priorities with the goals contained in the 2030 Agenda. The Swiss Government supports this program to the tune of EUR 2.6 million.
