Within the Culture for Democracy Project cultural actors will be provided with resources to unleash their potential to trigger critical and creative thinking around topics of immediate relevance for their communities.
Two open calls refer to the following grant schemes:
- Grants for Artistic Expressions providing support for the implementation of cultural and artistic projects and activities which are relevant for both the development of society, and for diversification of the practices and expressions of the independent artistic and cultural sector.
- Partnership Grants aiming to support cultural and artistic projects implemented in collaboration between two or more organizations enabling connection and exchange among different types of cultural actors and initiatives of smaller and larger size, from rural and urban areas and with professional and amateur background as a way of strengthening partners’ capacities to develop and implement socially engaged projects.
Deadline for the submission of applications is January 14th 2022. Applications are to be send to grants@heartefact.org. The Culture for Democracy Project aims at supporting the independent cultural sector to contribute to improved social cohesion and tolerance at the local level. Supported by the Government of Switzerland, the first project phase lasts from October 2021 until February 2025, and is implemented by Heartefact Fond.
