This special exhibition retraces the history Francois Perregaux, the first Swiss watchmaker in Japan, who arrived in Yokohama in the waning years of the Edo era and played an important role in establishing trade relations between Switzerland and Japan. Rare timepieces and artifacts from the period will be displayed.
