Acquisition Scanner pour I'hôpital Panzi, ASP

Ce projet vise à doter l'Hôpital Général de Référence (HGR) de Panzi d'un scanner moderne, ce qui permet d'aider le personnel médical à poser des diagnostiques corrects et rapides, afin d'établir des protocoles de traitements adéquats chez les patients en général, et chez les femmes en particulier. En outre l'appui de la Suisse permet de soutenir la recherche en imagerie médicale à travers le partenariat avec les Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève (HUG) et l'HGR de Panzi.
Microwork for Youth (Pilot)

The Microwork for Youth Pilot project aims at strengthening the economic resilience of Yemeni youth that are currently profiting from unconditional cash transfer under a broader WB/UNDP project. It focuses on increasing the employment rate of poor, low-skilled and vulnerable young individuals and provides them with in-demand digital skills training, as well as access to income-generating opportunities in the microwork sector locally and globally.
Enhanced Protection and Support to the Most Vulnerable Children, notably Refugee Children, in Lebanon

Children of all nationalities in Lebanon are affected by the country’s multifaceted crisis and collapse of public services. They face heightened risks of abuse, exploitation and violence, and of getting in contact or even in conflict with the law. Specific groups like refugee children are particularly at risk of seeing their rights violated. Through this project, NGOs and UNICEF will jointly enhance the protection of children from violence by providing them with crucial legal and protection services and by improving the child-friendliness of the justice system (nexus).
Forest Landscape Restoration Hub (FLR Hub)

This joint initiative by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the World Wildlife Fund, and the World Resources Institute supports the restoration of forests and landscapes in Africa and South America. It brings together governments and local organisations to work as partners and improve the benefits of forests for people, climate, and the environment. Switzerland’s supports the initiative in Southeast Africa and helps set-up a Knowledge Platform in South America for mutual learning.
Ukraine, Global Clearance Solutions GCS mechanical demining assets, training and mentoring for State Emergency Services Ukraine SESU

This project with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) and Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) seeks to strengthen the mechanical demining capacities and capabilities of SESU to enable them to carry out qualitative humanitarian demining. These needs shall be met by delivering a comprehensive package consisting of the donation of three mechanical demining machines GCS-200 and the delivery of expansive training, mentoring and logistics services.

By supporting the World Bank Health Enhancement and Lifesaving (HEAL) project, Switzerland contributes to alleviating the negative consequences of the war by restoring and improving access to essential healthcare - specifically services disrupted by the war - and by modernizing hospital care and support key health institutions. As a priority, HEAL addresses urgent needs for mental health and rehabilitation services.
Boosting collective action for improved water quality management

Using a water stewardship approach, the programme aims to improve the quality and management of water as a shared resource, while ensuring sustainable business development in the Greater Mekong Region. In this 2nd phase, Switzerland will continue to support the World Wide Fund for Nature’s engagement with small and medium enterprises as well as other stakeholders, to reduce water pollution and improve water governance at river basin level.
Supporting principled and efficient NGO coordination and promoting youth employability through South Sudan NGO Forum

The project aims to facilitate NGO Forum to effectively support NGO Forum members in the principled delivery of aid assistance to save and improve lives in South Sudan through information sharing, coordination, advocacy and networking, capacity enhancement and representation on behalf of the forum members. The project will also support the NGO Forum to re-initiate internship program for fresh young South Sudanese graduates with NGO members of the Forum to gain work and professional experience with the aim to improve their employment prospects.
Gender Equality in Food Systems

Gender-based discrimination, or the denial of women’s rights, is one of the major causes of poverty and food insecurity. The support from SDC contributes to women’s economic empowerment and the sustainable and transformative change in their livelihoods. FAO, IFAD, WFP and UN Women together tackle the barriers to gender equality at global, regional and national levels, including through the uptake of the CFS Voluntary Guidelines on Gender Equality and Women’s and Girls Empowerment.
Zimbabwe El Nino Response 2024

Zimbabwe’s 2023/24 agricultural season was hit by a severe El Nino induced drought, leading to wide-spread food insecurity. This initiative contributes to life-saving assistance to meet emergency needs of families affected by the drought. With Switzerland’s contribution, World Vision aims to deliver targeted cash transfers and protection support to 13’100 households during the lean hunger season until the next harvest.
REMARKET - Recovery and Empowerment through Market Access and Resilient Economic Transformation in Ukraine

After having supported Caritas with humanitarian emergency response programmes providing multi-sectorial cash assistance (MPCA) to vulnerable Internally displaced persons (IDPs) and conflict-affected population, Switzerland wishes to support its transition toward longer-term income generation, economic development, and social resilience. This second phase aims to strengthen Ukrainian communities and businesses by enhancing market access and fostering economic empowerment for IDPs, returnees, and host communities. It seeks to address immediate needs of vulnerable groups while fostering sustainable economic inclusion.
Survey and Mapping Mines and Explosive Hazards in Yemen

The two-year project aims to protect civilian lives and livelihoods in frontline areas through the systematic map-ping of weapon-contaminated areas, timely disposal of explosive ordnances in and around homes, and providing comprehensive explosive ordnance risk education. Special attention will be given to vulnerable groups, particu-larly children. Given the severe threat posed by explosive ordnances in Yemen, this project is essential for im-proving safety, enabling access to vital resources and services, and contributing to conducive conditions for return.
