Zürcher Theater Spektakel
The largest theatre festival of Switzerland, the Zürcher Theater Spektakel, is integrating the works of performers and theatre directors from the South and the East into the yearly programmes, com m petitions and networks. The partnership with SDC allows specific efforts regarding research, translations, pre-production works or co-productions, as to make sure the artists get additional visibility, skills and status, in Switzerland, internationally and in their own countries.

| Contesto | Art and culture are important means of expression with a potential of reflection, interaction and social change. Therefore, a free culture scene is an important element for a society with freedom of expressionn Theatre is a powerful means to work on themes that touch the public and trigger thought. SDC engages in supporting art and culture as contribution to the implementation of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions 2005. This includes the support for international mobility of artists and the participation of artists from the South and East in international art and culture. |

Risultati principali attesi: - Productions from the S/E represent a central part - The festival offers individual projects from the S/E the Risultati fasi precedenti: 30% of the festivals audience (of around 25000 annually) attended one of the 195 performances S/E. On average, 30% of the performances of the main program were from S/E. 219 artists S/E performed (including 98 women) and 88 technicians S/E were involved. CHF 685990 fees and CHF 43383 rights paid to artists S/E. The festival has been involved as coproducer in 18 productions S/E. |
