Empowering Futures: Enhancing Skills and Resilience for Afghan and Host Community Adolescents and Female Heads of Households in Iran
As part of Switzerland’s commitment to financing sustainable solutions for Afghan refugees in the region, the contribution to UNICEF in Iran aims at improving the access to skills development opportunities and employment, and enhance resilience to disasters - for Afghan and host community adolescents, and female heads of households.

Contesto | Iran remains one of the world’s largest refugee hosting countries. It’s ongoing deportations and strained social services have left many Afghan adolescents and female-headed households, along with vulnerable members of host communities, with limited access to education, livelihoods, and protection. |
Obiettivi | Contribute to the well-being and development of Afghan children on the move and their households in Iran by addressing key determinants of their quality of life and enhancing their resilience to disasters and emergencies. |
Gruppi target |
• 50 Technical and Vocational Training Society Organization staff and volunteers; and 120 Technical and Vocational Training instructors. • 1000 parents of adolescents (including 200 Afghan refugees); 4900 adolescents (including 950 Afghan refugees); 800 female-heads of households (including 400 Afghan refugees); and 1000 households with enhanced disaster preparedness capacities (including 200 Afghan refugee households). |
