Am 26. August 2026 kam es im Distrikt Rasuwa (Region Langtang) sowie im Grenzgebiet zu China zu einer schweren Sturzflut, die zahlreiche Todesopfer, Verletzte sowie erhebliche Sachschäden verursacht hat. Besonders betroffen sind die Ortschaften Timure und Syabrubesi. Trekkinggebiete in der Langtang-Region sowie Verkehrs- und Kommunikationsinfrastrukturen können beeinträchtigt sein. Auch weitere Landesteile entlang des Flusses Trishuli sind von Überschwemmungen betroffen oder gefährdet.

Informieren Sie sich vor und während der Reise in den Medien und bei Ihrem Reiseveranstalter über die Entwicklung der Lage und befolgen Sie die Anweisungen der lokalen Behörden. Meiden Sie die betroffenen Gebiete und lassen Sie bei Trekking- und Reiseaktivitäten besondere Vorsicht walten.
