The Science, Technology and Eductaion section at the Embassy aims to strengthen cooperation and bilateral relations in education, research and  innovation between Switzerland and India. It showcases Switzerland as a hub or excellent education and research and promotes the exchange of ideas with scientists and policy-makers. It also reports on developments in science and  technology in India and consolidates contacts with between the research and innovation ecosystems in Switzerland and India. In addition to organising events related to education, research and innovation, the section manages the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship programme for India.

The Science Section at the Embassy of Switzerland in India is part of the Swissnex network, an initiative of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI). In addition to this section in New Delhi, Swissnex in India, located in Bangalore, a future-focused organisation, curates international collaboration in education, research, and innovation for a better tomorrow.
