Through the International Cooperation section at the Embassy, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) supports projects on climate change, disaster risk prevention and management, and the environment. Gender equality and social inclusion are transversal themes and are reflected in all initiatives.

In particular, the Section fulfils the following tasks:

• Leverage expertise: Provision of expert knowledge to advance solutions that are aligned with India’s priorities.
  
  
• Innovative solutions and actions: Support development and testing of innovative solutions to climate change and sustainable development for wider replication, including in the South Asia region.
  
  
• Support policy processes: Contribute evidence-based research and practical experience to local and national policy processes.
  
  
• Disseminate Knowledge: Generate and disseminate knowledge to public and private stakeholders to promote capacity building and awareness.
  
  
• Humanitarian Support: Extend technical expertise for post-disaster assessments and recovery.
