On day 1, the group visited the special exhibition on Gotthard Base Tunnel at the Museum of Transport in Lucerne followed by an encounter with the classic and the innovative side of Switzerland through CabrioO, the open-air gondola in Stanserhorm.

Many Japanese architects have their projects in Switzerland. On day 2, the group visited “Under One Roof” at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) by Kengo Kuma.

Pumped from a lower elevation reservoir to a higher elevation at nights and the stored water being released thought turbines to produce electric power.... that's "pumped storage power plant"!  On day 3, the group visited Nant de Drance, winner of the International Tunneling Award in 2014. It is the latest project in Switzerland with its completion scheduled for 2018.

On day 4, Tamina Bridge in St. Gallen was introduced. Once complete in June 2017, the bridge will become the longest arch bridge in Europe. The group also visited Gotthard Base Tunnel! Putting environment first, the 57.1km tunnel finally opened in June 2016. It is a key route in connecting the north-south across Europe and now the longest tunnel in the world!

On the last day, the group visited the Circle, designed by a Japanese architect, Mr. Riken Yamamoto, with the briefing by the architect himself! The Circle is a project of a commercial facility, almost in the size of a town to be constructed next to Zurich International Airport. The group also visited Reflection, an exhibition by ETH for the Maniesta; the modern art biennale.
