FDFA recommendations for travelling abroad

Travel responsibly and take time to plan and organise your trip. The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) recommends that you download the Travel Admin app, register, and enter your trips abroad before leaving for your holiday.

The FDFA Helpline is the single point of contact for enquiries about consular services.

Entry requirements

1) K-ETA or Visa or Resident Card  

Visa-free travelers (e.g. Swiss nationals) who intend to enter the Republic of Korea are required to obtain a K-ETA entry authorization in advance by providing personal and travel-related information online through the website 

Following travelers are exempted from K-ETA. 

- aged 17 years and under

- 65 years and above

- diplomatic, offical passport holder

- in possession of Korean visa or Korean Resident card 

 

2) Q-code application 

For fast entry process, it is recommended to apply for Q-Code.
