25 years ago, the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) began its journey for advancing peace and security around the world by offering high quality executive education programmes in international security policy for participants coming from around the world.

Today in 2020, GCSP’s international community of experts, decision-makers and key players serve as a powerful source of knowledge, innovation and leadership, with a real ability to make a difference. Currently the GCSP runs over 40 open-enrolment courses and 71 customized solutions. The Centre also counts a community of alumni of over 9000 members based in 167 nations.

Islamabad joined 28 other Swiss Representations around the world to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy. The Ambassador of Switzerland, H.E. Mr. Bénédict de Cerjat, who himself was a Government Fellow at the GCSP in 2016, hosted the “4th Global Annual Networking Night” (GANN) for the Pakistan Chapter at the Swiss Embassy in Islamabad on November 25, 2020. Mr. Ch. Naman Zafar, Hub leader of GCSP Alumni - Pakistan, while presenting a gift from the participants, underlined the importance of such events to broaden the knowledge of local alumni by sharing the experiences they made in Geneva.
