The Prime Minister appreciated the excellent bilateral cooperation and the important contribution of Swiss-funded projects to Romania's development in security, stability and support for reforms, environment and infrastructure, private sector, human and social development.

One of the main topics on the agenda was dual education, an area of priority interest for both countries. Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu underlined the importance of collaboration with Switzerland to extend dual education to the less developed regions in the north-east and south of Romania.

In this context, Ambassador Massimo Baggi expressed Switzerland's particular interest in vocational education, which can provide highly qualified manpower to companies. Increasing Swiss investment in Romania is an important objective, said Ambassador Massimo Baggi, who stressed the Swiss Confederation's determination to have a higher position in the top foreign investors in Romania. Among the areas of interest for Swiss investors are climate-sustainable projects that contribute to the green transition, as well as projects to modernise the railway system.

The two officials also agreed on the need for joint efforts to rebuild Ukraine.
