Romanian citizens are allowed to travel to Switzerland

In light of the recent information published on different media outlets in Switzerland and in Romania, we would like to confirm that Romanian citizens ARE ALLOWED to travel to Switzerland as of June 15th 2020.

Mandatory quarantine for persons arriving in Switzerland

Travellers coming from Romania must go into quarantine for 10 days, starting from 8 August 2020 (0.00 hours). A negative test result does not exempt you from the mandatory quarantine requirement.

Novel Coronavirus

For information related to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) kindly consult the information and directives of the local authorities (www.ms.ro and www.mae.ro) and the recommendations of the World Health Organization WHO

On state level, the Federal Office of Public Health of Switzerland FHPO informs in regards to the Novel Coronavirus and publishes travel advice accordingly.

The Travel Advice FDFA (in German, French and Italian) offers travelers basic information for travel preparation by informing on possible risks and certain precautions. They are to be considered as a complementary source of information.
