Application of the Universal Standards for Social Performance Management (USSPM) by inclusive financial service providers can ensure that low-income and vulnerable people will improve their livelihoods as a result of client-centric financial services offered responsibly. The Social Performance Task Force is best positioned to promote the application of the USSPM globally - and with REDCAMIF in Central America & Caribbean - as effective market transparency and self-regulation tool for the global inclusive financial inclusion industry.

Programa de Empoderamiento Transformativo con Enfoque Psicosocial

El programa integra el enfoque psicosocial en la formación de la Policía Nacional y 12 organizaciones vinculadas al portafolio de COSUDE, fortaleciendo los procesos de diálogo, transformación de los conflictos, el empoderamiento y la cohesión social. Contribuye a reducir los niveles de violencia, polarización y la conflictividad social con enfoque en la región del Golfo de Fonseca y la Mosquitia. Crea una formación especializada sobre el enfoque psicosocial en la educación superior y técnica.

OPT:UNOCHA-Humanitarian Fund HF

The Humanitarian Fund (HF) in the occuped Palestinian territory (oPt) is a flexible, needs-based and principled mechanism driven by field-level decisions based on assessed needs. The Fund is a pooled mechanism placed under the leadership of the UN Humanitarian Coordinator that focuses on life-saving and life-sustaining activities. Since 2007, the HF has received regular support from various donors, including Switzerland, which renews its support in line with its commitments to improving the effectiveness of humanitarian aid globally and in oPt.

Access to Health Services: Three Millennium Development Goals Fund

The contribution builds on 3MDG’s recognized achievements in supporting poor and vulnerable women, children and people with HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria in Myanmar. The peace process opens avenues for 3MDG to working in conflict affected areas and reaching populations beyond the reach of the government. 3MDG is restructuring its pooled funding mechanism, in order to supporting Myanmar's health actors towards achieving universal health coverage.

Strengthening cities for migration and development

Cities are the main destination for migrants worldwide. They play a crucial role in ensuring migrants’ social and economic inclusion and in leveraging migration as a source of innovation and prosperity. Switzerland aims at strengthening the evidence base on how to manage urban migration to maximize its development effects and at leveraging the voice and experience of cities in shaping effective migration policies. The project will involve Swiss cities and benefit from Swiss research expertise.

TUR STL Facilitating the PRotection and Resilience of Syrian Refugees in Istanbul

Around 500'000 Syrian refugees in Istanbul are exposed to multiple social and protection risks. In December 2015, the national NGO Support-to-Life (STL) with partial SDC funding set up a community center in Küçükçekmece, a populous industrial city district.The center provides protection and social support, promotes linkages to the host community and referral to state services with an increased focus on women, children and youth among the refugees.

Gaza Vulnerable Communities Development- GVCD (Phase 1)

In the first phase of this project, SDC will support selected Municipalities in the Gaza Strip to improve the delivery of services through the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF): small-scale infrastructure projects targeting vulnerable communities and capacity development activities to enhance the participation of these communities in local decision-making processes will be implemented. This project is aligned with Palestine National Policy Agenda (2017-2022), and Swiss Cooperation Strategy for the oPt (2015-2018).

Programme d’Appui au Développement Culturel (PADEC)

Ce programme vise à contribuer à la constitution d’un pool de professionnels de la culture afin d’induire un changement significatif dans la vision et la pratique culturelle, la promotion de la paix civile et la lutte contre la précarité des jeunes. Des emplois dans le métier de la culture et de l’art seront créés et des spectacles artistiques de meilleure qualité seront organisés, et impulseront des changements sociétaux.

Programme d’Appui aux systèmes de santé des Grands Lacs

This phasing-Out stage shall focus on managing local knowledge-transfer processes revolving around medial and non-medical determinants of health. To do this is relevant in a stage of phasing-out because it capitalizes on the efforts made by Switzerland in a systemic support to the public health system over the last 15 years.  Monitoring the stunting path among children’s under 2yo - as good proxy of wellbeing and of social learning processes - will be undertaken with the cooperation of parents, Community Health Workers (CHWs) and Local Governments. Therein lays the potential for successful replicating of good health practices, locally, and as a basis for upscaling to the Western Province and beyond.

Tandem with NGOs to support victims of trafficking in human beings (VoT) - TaNGO

The objective is to support victims of human trafficking through direct assistance services provided by non-governmental organisations in Romania. A financial redistribution provided by IOM will be established to finance victims assistance services provided by NGOs.
