RCA: UNICEF Sous-cluster protection de l’enfance

Par son appui financier au Sous-cluster protection de l’enfance, la DDC souhaite contribuer au renforcement du système de coordination en RCA, pour assurer une réponse de protection coordonnée pour les enfants affectés par la crise. Ce soutien rentre par ailleurs dans le cadre de la stratégie de la protection de civils (PoC), et plus spécifiquement dans le plan d’action du DFAE pour la protection des enfants associés aux forces et groupes armés.

Mali CSA/Jigisemejiri - Projet de renforcement des programmes nationaux de sécurité alimentaire et des filets sociaux et nutritionnels

Les populations du Mali sont affectées par des chocs climatiques et politico-sécuritaires récurrents. Ceci cause d’énormes souffrances humaines, accentue la vulnérabilité et compromet les efforts de développement. Les autorités maliennes font de la sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle leur priorité qu’ils opérationnalisent à travers le Dispositif National de Sécurité Alimentaire et le programme national des filets sociaux (Jigisemejiri).Ce projet appuie les efforts d’alerte précoce et de réponse ciblée en consolidant les partenariats entre Etat et ONG.

Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP)

Financial inclusion is a thematic priority of the current and new ‘Botschaft’. Despite much pro-gress achieved, CGAP’s and SPTF’s missions are far from completion. Access of low-income people to insurance and long-term savings services require frontier markets to develop.

There is also a long way until the Universal Standards for Social Performance Management (USSPM) are put into practice by financial institutions serving low-income people. They are essential to ensure that low-income people improve their livelihood as a result of using financial services.

Programme de Renforcement des Capacités d'Action des Femmes (RECAFEM)

Le programme va poursuivre l’appui au Gouvernement du Bénin et aux organisations de la société civile pour réduire les inégalités femmes/hommes aux plans social, culturel, juridique et économique. Le personnel des Ministères sectoriels et des organisations aux niveaux macro et méso sera appuyé, afin de renforcer son engagement et ses compétences, dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre des politiques publiques et des initiatives et actions de développement en faveur des femmes.

WFP Secondment Protection and Gender Advisor

In Myanmar especially conflict affected and rural populations suffer from moderate to severe malnutrition; but also extreme weather conditions may increase the situation of food insecurity. In recent years there have been reports on protection gaps in the implementation of WFP programmes and women and children are struggling to receive support. The secondment will provide technical support in the domain of protection and gender to the WFP country program.

Water and Sanitation in Moldova

In Moldova, a majority of people living in rural areas lack access to safe drinking water and sanitation. To improve this situation, the project will establish decentralised water supply Systems and environmental sanitation facilities. The experience is then anchored in sector institutions by fostering their capacity, streamlining internal procedures, and handing over the lead in the implementation. In total, 60'000 people will have access to sustainable an improved water and 26'000 people to ecological toilets.

Per le migliaia di persone che fuggono da situazioni di violenza e miseria e sperano di raggiungere l’Europa attraverso il Mediterraneo la Libia continua a essere un luogo di partenza molto gettonato. Nel Paese la DSC sostiene due ONG che forniscono assistenza ai migranti vittima di aggressioni e detenzioni arbitrarie. Nel 2015 la Svizzera ha stanziato 2 milioni CHF ai settori della migrazione e della protezione dei civili in Libia.

Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights: Contribution to Country Office Honduras

Human Rights promotion and protection in Honduras does not live up to international standards nor does it comply with international commitments as shown by the 2010 Universal Periodic review of the Human Rights Council. On demand of the Government of Honduras the UN is establishing a Country Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in 2015. The office will combat impunity and strengthen the capacities of governmental entities and CSO-institutions to protect human rights.

Promotion of Sustainable Economic Development inKyrgyzstan

The project contributes to sustainable economic growth and thus Job creation and increased incomes, especially for youth and women, in Jalal-Abad Oblast of Southern Kyrgyzstan. lt will focus on the development of selected value chains and the promotion of local economic development with the aim to enhance the competitiveness of targeted businesses and export sectors and, complementarily, to promote a business enabling environment as a precondition for private sector growth.

Siccità, carenza di foraggio e conflitti per il controllo delle risorse naturali rendono grama la vita degli allevatori di bestiame nel Sud dell’Etiopia. Per migliorare la loro sicurezza alimentare e la capacità di resilienza in caso di crisi, la DSC ha adottato una serie di misure che vanno dal risanamento dei pascoli e dei pozzi all’introduzione di piani di utilizzazione e alla creazione di nuove fonti di reddito per le donne.

Jebel Mara WASH and Health Improvement Project

The humanitarian operation in Sudan is one of the largest in the world. According to the 2015 Humanitarian response Plan, 5.4 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance in different parts of the country, particularly in Darfur, South-Kordofan and Blue Nile State. In Darfur, fighting in 2014 has led to the displacement of 430’000 persons. That is more than in any single year since the height of the conflict in 2004. This phase of the project will be implemented in the wider region of Jebel Mara in Central Darfur. The current phase of the project runs for 19 months and will further build the capacity of IDPs, Host Communities and Public Institutions in the fields of WASH and Basic Health Services.

I servizi agricoli e finanziari tramite telefono cellulare e i partenariati tra attori pubblici e privati sono oggi strumenti promettenti per raggiungere milioni di persone. Agri-Fin Mobile, un progetto che in Indonesia, Uganda e Zimbabwe offre servizi agricoli e di microfinanziamento via cellulare, raggiungerà circa 280’000 piccoli agricoltori.
