Accelerate Registration of Medical Products

Limited access to safe, effective and quality medical products in Africa is mainly due to lengthy and unharmonized approval procedures. In collaboration with WHO and Swissmedic, Switzerland is supporting African medicines regulators to both improve the efficiency of and harmonize their regulatory procedures and processes. This will give them greater autonomy and sustainability in making life-saving medical products available to their populations.


Contribution to UNRWA 2026

UNRWA contributes to stability in the Middle East.  It provides access to basic services (health, education), relief and social protection, as well as humanitarian assistance for 5.9 million Palestine refugees in the region. Switzerland’s contribution for 2026 is earmarked for the organisation’s programmes in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.  


Women’s Access to Climate Finance and Participation in Climate Action

The Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action (the Alliance) empowers women worldwide to access climate finance and lead climate action. Over the past decade, it has built a strong network of more than 2,300 grassroots organizations across 60 countries. With Swiss support, the Alliance will strengthen women-led organizations to engage together in advocacy with big climate finance organizations like the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and to ensure their priorities are considered. 


Rights-based approach in Food Systems

Achieving food security requires a human-rights based approach. Aligned with Switzerland’s foreign policy human rights principles, the project addresses structural causes of hunger and malnutrition at national, regional and global levels. It enables meaningful participation of smallholder farmers, vulnerable consumers and marginalized groups in food governance processes and builds capacity of governments to effectively implement, adapt and enforce existing right to food and peasants’ rights frameworks.


JOR: Strengthening Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) Humanitarian Corridor for Gaza

Jordan’s humanitarian corridor remains a critical lifeline for delivering aid to Gaza. Through this intervention, Switzerland contributes to strengthening the operational capacity of a key partner for humanitarian aid to Gaza: the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO). The project will reinforce JHCO by expanding staff capacity, enhancing logistics, and optimizing the Amman humanitarian hub for efficient aid delivery. The contribution is part of the Federal Council’s decision from 26 November 2025 to grant CHF 23 million to support the “Gaza Peace Plan” of the United States.


Forum international (IFT) sur le Total Official Support for Sustainable Development (TOSSD), contribution de membre de la Suisse

Le Total Official Support for Sustainable Development (TOSSD) est un cadre statistique visant à garantir un système cohérent, comparable et harmonisé pour suivre les investissements liés aux objectifs du développement durable dans les pays en développement. Le standard est supervisé par le Forum international sur le TOSSD (IFT). La Suisse notifie ses données depuis 2019. En tant que membre de l’IFT, elle contribue au développement conceptuel et stratégique de la mesure.


Sri Lanka, SET Tropical Storm Ditwah

Sri Lanka is grappling with one of its worst natural disasters in recent history. Cyclone Ditwah struck Sri Lanka at the end of November 2025 with unprecedented force, unleashing days of torrential rain that triggered severe flooding and landslides across all 25 districts of the country. Given the devastating situation, the Swiss Humanitarian Aid decided to deploy a Rapid Response Team (SET), focusing on WASH, and possible additional sectors like NFI, CVA and/or shelter.


Energy and Environment Partnership Africa Trust Fund

Switzerland supports the Energy and Environment Partnership Africa Trust Fund to advance clean energy solutions in Zimbabwe. The project provides grants, business development support and investment facilitation to innovative private-sector actors that deliver clean energy services to vulnerable communities. This aligns with Switzerland’s interest to support climate change mitigation and inclusive economic development in Zimbabwe. 


Emergency Response for Palestinian Medical Evacuees and their Companions, single phase

Since the escalation of the Gaza conflict on October 7, 2023, Egypt has served as a vital humanitarian corridor, receiving over 8,000 injured Palestinians and 16,000 accompanying family members. All medical evacuees and their companions remain in Egypt, unable to return to Gaza due to ongoing insecurity and access restrictions. As medical evacuations continue, pressure on Egypt’s health system continue. The project strengthens access to specialized healthcare, mental health and psychosocial support, and cash assistance.


Improving access to justice in Northern Mozambique

This project aims to improve access to justice in two provinces in Northern Mozambique by empowering provincial and district courts. Through a combination of training, procedural reform and infrastructure upgrades, Switzerland will directly support the Supreme Court to deliver faster and more effective justice, with a particular focus on corruption cases and land-related disputes. 


ICRC Add. Contrib. Sudan Crisis NK, SUD, SSD, Chad

SDC funding to ICRC operations allows the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to respond proactively and to provide immediate protection and assistance for people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence such as Sudan. In line with the Good Humanitarian Donorship (GHD) principles, Switzerland recognizes the necessity of predictable and flexible funding to respond to changing needs in humanitarian crises.


SUD, OCHA Humanitarian Fund SHF Nachtragskredit

Over 30 million people in Sudan are in need of humanitarian aid. The Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF) is one of the UN’s country-based pooled funds, dedicated to saving lives and protecting people in need by supporting a coordinated and principled humanitarian response. It enables a diverse range of frontline partner organizations to respond swiftly and effectively to humanitarian needs outlined in the Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan (HNRP) and to critical emergencies.
