Core Contribution to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria 2023-2025

The Global Fund collects and channels a big share of international funds to end HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, which mostly affect the poorest and most vulnerable people in low- and middle-income countries. Its support to country programmes has saved 44 million lives since 2002. In the coming years, the challenge is to regain lost ground in the fight against the three diseases and to further strengthening health systems to ensure impact, sustainability, and better preparedness and response to pandemics.

2023 Annual Allocation to WFP Immediate Response Account (IRA)

Against historic levels of food security due to conflicts, climate change and COVID-19, Switzerland supports annually operations of the World Food Programme (WFP) to provide humanitarian and development assistance. Switzerland contributes to the Immediate Response Account (IRA), a multilateral flexible mechanism that allows WFP to provide financial support in underfunded emergencies. The IRA reinforces the principles of timeliness, predictability and flexibility.

The Yemen Humanitarian Fund provides a principled, flexible, timely, and coordinated response towards meeting the most critical and acute needs identified in the Humanitarian Response Plan through the provision of funding for international and national NGOs and UN entities. Switzerland’s multi-year contribution strengthens this instrument more generally and specifically supports its aims to prioritize the hard-to-reach areas, anticipatory action and increased localization of the response.

Promotion de la qualité de l'éducation de base au Tchad ProQEB

La qualité de l’éducation de base demeure un enjeu crucial au Tchad. Le ProQEB, promoteur d’innovations pédagogiques a apporté une valeur ajoutée à la pertinence et à l’efficacité du système éducatif dans les quatre provinces d’intervention pendant les 3 phases précédentes. La Suisse finance une 4ème phase du projet visant la consolidation et l’institutionnalisation des acquis de ces phases contribuant ainsi au renforcement de son ancrage en favorisant l’inclusion des groupes marginalisés.
The Montenegro Acceleration Fund

The Montenegro Acceleration Fund (the Fund) is a pooled funding mechanism that aims to accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and, subsidiarily, support the country’s European perspective. The Fund is a vehicle for promoting the UN system reform and gathering public, private and civil society actors to harmonizing their strategic development efforts which will result in targeted and transformative interventions at the interfaces of the 2030 Agenda and the European integration.
Multi-Methods Data Collection Mandate to Monitor the Swiss Cooperation Programme Zimbabwe Zambia 2023-2026

The purpose of this mandate is to support data collection for the monitoring and evaluation of Swiss supported projects in Zambia and Zimbabwe. The annual data collection and analysis will capture the perceptions of SDC project target groups around supported interventions in health service delivery, social protection, youth employment, agriculture, and good governance. This will help to see the trend or change of the different indicators of the Cooperation Programme.

SDG Lab: multi-stakeholder innovation and collaboration for the 2030 Agenda

The SDG Lab was established in 2017 in Geneva as a UN initiative with the aim of accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda by bringing together diverse actors in Geneva. It supports the United Nation Office at Geneva (UNOG) and Geneva to pull together actors from Civil society, governments, UN Agencies and the financial sector, to accelerate policy and action for implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
Rural Communities’ Disaster Risks and Climate Change Resilience (Phase 2)

In the natural disasters prone Kyrgyzstan, most vulnerable are the rural communities. Within its periodic Country Strategic Plans, the UN World Food Programme strengthens their disaster risk reduction capacities and climate change resilience. Switzerland has been successfully supporting these endeavours in 2022, supporting resilience and food security of the most vulnerable communities and extends the support to the same direction for 2023-2027.
