Do I need a Schengen visa?

My nationality Obligation to hold a visa (yes/no)
Kosovo as of 01.01.2024: NO (V12)

(V12)

Kosovo citizens do not need a visa.
The visa exemption only applies to holders of biometric passports, travelling for short term purposes (p.eg. family or friends visit, business, tourism, medical and other purposes, except for work).

When travelling, all visa exempted non-EU/EFTA citizens (incl. Kosovo) must meet the entry requirements and therefore have the necessary documents to prove the purpose and conditions of their stay in Switzerland and/or in the Schengen states, see for details: SEM’s FAQ, point 3.1.1

Attention: the visa is still required for all kind of work, even if the activity does not exceed 8 days within a calendar year, and for all stays longer than 90 days over a period of 180 days.
