Invitation to tender : « Property protection services » for the period 01.04.2023 to 31.03.2028 in Athens/Greece

The Embassy of Switzerland in Greece is looking for its future security and surveillance provider for its two sites, the Chancery and the Residence. The contract will run for five (5) years, from 01.04.2023 to 31.03.2028.

The surveillance of the Chancery, located in the Kolonaki district, will require the employment of a guard exclusively during opening hours, whose main tasks will be the control of visitors and the surveillance of parking spaces. At the Residence in the Chalandri district, surveillance is continuous, 365 days a year and 24/7.

Therefore, a shift system will have to be implemented by the selected service provider. The main tasks are the surveillance of the property and the control of visitors.

The selected service provider must be experienced, have sufficient resources to carry out the mandate and ensure that the Greek legal provisions are respected in the treatment of its employees.

Message by the Swiss National Bank

The banknotes of the 8th banknote series were recalled by the Swiss National Bank (SNB) in application of art. 9 para. 1 Federal Law on Currency and Payment Instruments. They have thus lost their status as legal tender, but can be exchanged at the SNB for an unlimited period of time and used for payment purposes at the Swiss Post and the SBB (public treasuries of the Confederation) until 30 October 2021.

Whether other players (domestic or foreign banks) accept the banknotes of the 8th banknote series is subject to the free business decision of these players. The SNB has no influence on this and also has no official information on this.

It should be noted that banknotes issued by the SNB can be used in Switzerland as legal tender or as a store of value. Abroad, Swiss banknotes can also be used as a store of value, but it is not the SNB's task to provide assistance in this context (in particular, not to exchange them abroad), since according to art. 5 para. 2 of the National Bank Act, it is only responsible for ensuring the supply of cash in Switzerland.
