Health is a priority for both Switzerland and Poland: the Polish government places a strategic emphasis on the health of its population and on improving the healthcare system. Switzerland, on the other hand, is home to some of the world’s most innovative and successful pharmaceutical companies, and has developed a unique solution in the form of its decentralised, integrated healthcare system with compulsory health insurance.

The annual Polish-Swiss Forum for Health Dialogue provides a platform for bilateral exchange. Each edition addresses a different topic currently at the centre of public debate. In the 15 editions held to date, experts from various fields have discussed topics such as preventive medicine, care for the elderly, cancer treatment and data-driven healthcare. As part of this commitment, smaller events have also taken place, such as the 2025 health dialogue on the topic of prevention, which formed part of the official calendar of the Polish EU Council Presidency.
